Application form - Mentors
The IPEd Mentoring Program is open to financial members (at any level) of any editors' association anywhere. To be a mentor means you agree to communicate with your mentee for the duration of the mentorship (around 2-3 months for a mini mentorship, longer for a standard one) by whatever means (e.g., Zoom, telephone call) and however frequently (e.g., fortnightly, monthly) you both agree is suitable. You will receive a small honorarium for your services.
Your mentee should prepare specific goals and discuss them with you, so that you start with a clear understanding of what you will work on together.
If a mentoring relationship does not work out, you or your mentee should contact your local coordinator to discuss a possible re-matching. A mentorship can also end if the mentee’s goals are met earlier than expected.
Please complete this form and answer the questions as fully as possible. It will help us to make sure that mentees are matched with the most suitable mentors for their needs. All information is stored securely, and will not be made available to anyone other than members of the IPEd Mentoring Standing Committee.
