Skagway Traditional Council (STC) is pleased to announce that we were awarded tribal broadband affordability grant and will be participating in Alaska Power & Telephone (AP&T)’s broadband service voucher program that would provide no-cost broadband access to eligible households (In SKAGWAY ONLY), Tribal Business & Tribal Government and its extensions until funding runs out, creating access to online programs and services.
In order to serve you, we will need to you fill out the following demographic information questionnaire so that we may relay your information to AP&T.
Please be aware this program is only through a partnership with AP&T and you will need AP&T services to be eligible for this service. If you need a new service to AP&T, please understand this program does not pay for any incurred installation costs.
Internet access level and specifications may change but we expect to be able to provide a minimum of 25Mbps download/3Mbps upload for copper-fed premises and 150 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload for fiber-fed premises (speeds may change based on AP&Ts standard of service options change). Most up to date details for services is available at AP&T.
AFTER signing up for TAP program, we may be emailing quarterly questionnaires for the grant. Please take the time to submit the questionnaires as it would help us gauge the effectiveness of the program.
