The South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire School Games has teamed up with Totally Runable to give children a county-wide competitive challenge that can be done at any time in school, any place, and without any equipment!

Hit the Ground Running will begin on Monday 27 September and will run throughout the autumn term until Christmas. Schools can choose whenever they would like to take part. It’s open to all primary school children.

Your school can register to take part at any point. during the challenge.

Simply follow the steps below for your schools to take part.

- Sign up your class below
- Log the miles your bubble completes (in total) each week on a Google Form.
- Track your progress online. We will post weekly leaderboards on this page. This will be calculated by using the average mileage per child in your bubble.
- Take part in weekly mini-challenges to win prizes. These will include photo competitions, cross-curricular activities, and timed challenges.
