Boston Public Schools Pi STEAM Day 2024 Volunteer Sign-up
Thanks for volunteering to help with the Boston Public Schools Pi STEAM Day 2024 on Thursday, March 14 at the SEC (150 Western Ave).

We are hosting ~250 8th grade students, teachers and chaperones from Boston Public Schools for a fun day of science & engineering at the SEC on Pi Day, 3/14.

We need help on March 14 with leading several simple and fun engineering design activities. the time commitment would be from 10am - 12:45 pm (includes set-up and clean-up). A pizza lunch will be provided. 

The March 14 schedule is as follows:

9:30-10:00 School arrive and proceed to SEC 1.321
10:00-10:45 Welcome and keynote TBD
10:45-11:00 Schools transition to lunch hands-on activity or in-lab activity
11:00-11:20 Lunch in activity location
11:20-12:15 Hands-on engineering activity or in-lab activity
12:15-12:30 Transition to SEC 1.321
12:30-1:00 College and career panel
1:00-1:15 Wrap-up and dismissal

We will have 2 volunteer orientation meetings (to distribute activities and go through logistics):
Thursday, March 7 @ SEC (150 Western Ave, Allston), 4pm-5 pm
Friday, March 8 @ Pierce Hall (29 Oxford Street, Cambridge), 11am-12pm
