* THE SHOW *
Tired of being catfished, ghosted and gaslighted? Recently dumped, sadly single, or just stuck in a romantic mire? Then come on down to “A Happy Accident’s Dating Game” and join Rochester’s quirky improvisers Joanne Brokaw and Sara Moore as they try to connect singles, solve relationship woes, and make love connections. Whether you’re looking for The One or want to just watch the fun, it’ll be the strangest game show you’ve ever seen! Audience participation is highly encouraged, but not required.

The show has two elements:

1)The Audience - these are folks who are coming to watch the show, cheer on their favorite contestant, or throw their hat in the ring for a wildcard vote from the audience. If that's what you're looking for, tickets are on sale now at:
https://rochesterfringe.com/tickets-and-shows/a-happy-accidents-dating-show

2) The Contestants - preselected singles looking for love (or just a lunch date) who are willing to let us introduce them to matches we pick out for them; play games and get silly and weird; and let the audience have the final say on their love connection.

WHAT'S REQUIRED OF YOU AS A CONTESTANT:

* YES, you will be in front of a small crowd. The show is in Club SoTA, which seats about 40 people and is set up cabaret style, with a small stage.
* NO, you don't need to memorize any lines.
* YES, we will be with you the entire time and make sure you have everything you need during the show. Working the crowd and getting everyone involved in the fun is our specialty. We've got your back.
* NO, you don't need any acting experience. All you need is a willingness to get in front of people and let us present a few eligible singles for consideration while we make bad jokes about dating, marriage, and love.
* NO, if we select you, you are not required to purchase a ticket to the show.
* YES, if we don't select you, you can still buy a ticket and come to the show.
* NO, if you play and the audience picks a match for you, you are NOT obligated to go on a date with that person.
* YES, if you do decide to go out and it works out, we want to know all about it!

This is all in fun! If you end up with a new friend, super. If you find the love of your life? Well, we want to be bridesmaids.

If you win and you decide to go on the “date”, would you be willing to take some pics and/or video and let us use it in post-show promotion? Again, we're not requiring you to go on a date.
Clear selection
By checking "yes" below, you acknowledge that you understand that this show is for entertainment purposes only and that we do NOT require any contestant to actually go on a date with anyone, or fraternize after the show, or give out their personal information to other contestants or the crowd during the show. We'll work with the contestants to ensure we're only sharing information they're comfortable with; however please understand that we will be using your name and photos to promote the show in the media and on social media. In other words, there are some risks involved, and yes your name and face are going to be out there for the world to see, and by checking yes you acknowledge that and confirm you're willing to play along anyway, and you're not going to hold us responsible if we don't find you a legitimate match.
Clear selection
Just hit SUBMIT below, and that's it! We'll be going through applications from now until early September, so if we think you're a fit, we'll let you know!
If you've changed your mind and just want to come and be part of the audience, tickets to the show are on sale now.
