BIRS 20w5074 Registration Information
We are pleased to announce that the Banff International Research Station (BIRS) Workshop 20w5074 "Mathematical Models in Biology: from Information Theory to Thermodynamics" will be held online from July 27-29, 2020.  Originally limited to 42 participants, the online format allows expanded attendance.  To receive an invitation, please complete the survey below prior to July 20.  Space permitting, you should receive an official invitation e-mail from BIRS' invitation system by July 23.

In conjunction with the workshop, the journal Biological Cybernetics is organizing a special issue on "Information Theory and Thermodynamics in Biology".  Originally restricted to workshop participants, the SI now welcomes all submissions.  Papers received by July 20 will be considered for the SI (subject to standard peer review); papers received after July 20 may be considered for the SI on a case by case basis.  To submit a paper to the SI please follow this URL: https://www.springer.com/journal/422/updates/18115676
