The Herbert H. Lee Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled full-time in a degree granting program at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor who demonstrate a knowledge of Korean culture based on personal experience.

Eligibility
Entering or current University of Michigan student with demonstrated financial need who demonstrates a knowledge of Korean culture.
How To Apply
1. Complete an essay (250 words of less) explaining your knowledge of Korean culture based on personal experience. Your essay should be a reflection of your opinion and personal experiences. It should not include any parts borrowed from sources such as the Internet or other literature.

2. For scholarship consideration, complete a 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 1, 2021. For more information about applying for financial aid at UM, visit https://finaid.umich.edu/apply-aid.  
Selection and Award Amount
Each year, the University of Michigan Office of Financial Aid will review the submitted essays and select the student who best meets the scholarship's eligibility criteria. The dollar amount of the scholarship varies, depending on the annual income from the endowment fund.
