Prior academic work: a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required with a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average (on a scale of 4.0), and a minimum 3.0 average in your major field. Applicants with a grade point average below 3.0 may be considered for conditional admission.

Application Requirements and Procedures
Those interested should submit this application and supporting documents to juan.perez@zfinstitute.com no later than June 6, 2022.
● Please combine the following materials into one PDF document:

o Personal Statement
o Resume or Curriculum Vitae
o Two to Three Letters of Recommendation. At least one of these references should be from a former professor or instructor and the other from a colleague, supervisor, or other professional references.

●Applicants whose native language is not English should pass the TOEFL with a score of 550 or higher, an IELTS score of 6.5 before the end of Semester I or take the G513 English course offered at ZFI.

● Upon review of these materials, the Zakat Foundation Institute admissions committee will contact select applicants to conduct an oral interview.

● Notifications of admission will be provided no later than August 17th, 2022.

Please provide your answer in approximately 500 words or two pages double-spaced:

The Zakat Foundation Institute is dedicated to furthering our understanding and practice of the global aid and development sector in general, and in particular as it relates to regions part of the historically Muslim world. of developmental and humanitarian studies and improving its practice. Describe how you expect your education with the Zakat Foundation Institute to further your professional and personal goals.

Program Restrictions
● Students enrolled in a certificate program must complete it with 18 credit hours of approved
coursework with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (B). Failure to do so results in automatic
dismissal from the certificate program.
● Transfer credit, course substitutions, or course waivers are not accepted.
● Admission to or successful completion of a certificate program does not guarantee subsequent
admission to a Philanthropic Studies graduate degree program.
● Students enrolled in the certificate program who apply to Philanthropic Studies graduate degree
programs must meet all existing admission requirements.
● Students must complete the certificate in one year
