We are always looking for more volunteers to help make a robust program. Ideally, we are seeking reviewers from a variety of positions and from a diverse array of libraries. We are always in search of reviewers that may be able to serve niche interests/specialties. You do not need to be a NELA member to become a resume reviewer.
Requirements for becoming a reviewer:
- We ask that reviewers be able to respond to a request for resume assistance within three business days. Reviewers will always have the option to reject a review request if you are not available to provide a review at that time.
- Once an individual has submitted their resume, reviewers will assist them in editing their resume via phone, Zoom, or a similar live method. NELA has a licensed Zoom account that is available if the reviewer does not one. Licensed Zoom accounts allow for meetings over 40 minutes.
Don't feel intimidated by the quick turnover time, as a large volume of reviewers keeps individual reviewers from being overwhelmed.
