Higel / Hale SWA or Higel Lease Permit Request Form

The properties are open to the public each year September 1st - February 14th on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and legal holidays only with a valid permit. During the October 1st - November 10th period, the only way to request a permit is through this request form. You can also come into the Monte Vista CPW office to obtain a permit from September 1st - 30th and November 11th - February 14th. Please submit a form for each person for each day a permit is being requested. This link can be used for all requests; you do not need a new email with a new link.

Permits are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis. Higel SWA, including Hale Parcels: A maximum of 25 permits will be issued, including non-hunters. Higel Lease: A maximum of 5 permits will be issued, including non-hunters.

Requests are accepted no earlier than two weeks in advance of the requested date at 8 am. EXAMPLE: To make a request for Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, you can submit the form at 8 am on Saturday, September 18th, 2021. All requests submitted earlier will be disqualified.
