Dear Parents,

We, the members of the Human Experience Research Lab in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida would like to invite your 5th and 6th grade students to CodeIT Day 2019. This event will give your student(s) the opportunity to learn about Computer Science in a fun and hands on environment. During this daylong event, participants, with the guidance of graduate students from University of Florida, will form teams and learn to build and program a small computer! At the end of the day, students will give a short presentation to their family and friends. We hope that through this experience students will become excited about computing, learn to work as a member of a team and gain experience presenting their work. To participate in this program students do not need prior computing experience. If you and your student(s) are interested in participating, please complete this form by May 6, 2019.
