Forest to Faucet Fire Event Application

The Kalamazoo Nature Center, acting as fiduciary for the MI Prescribed Fire Council (MPFC), has received the Federal Forest to Faucet Grant through the US Forest Service to be used for events to promote the use of prescribed fire in forested ecosystems in the southern lower peninsula of MI (below the 43rd parallel) for improved water quality. If you would like to partner to host an event, there may be funding and support that MPFC can provide. Please fill out this form and we will be in contact with next steps.

How much funding do you need from MPFC? Please send a detailed event budget with line items to info@firecouncil.org. Any tools/PPE purchased will be the property of MPFC for a shared cache. If you need tools/PPE request those separately as we may have some to lend you for your event. *

If your event is approved for funding --- Once your event is complete, please send metrics (registration/attendee numbers and pre/post survey results), event narrative, photos if any, and an invoice with line items addressed to "Kalamazoo Nature Center" to info@firecouncil.org. KNC will mail you a check after all metrics, narrative, etc. have been received and event is completed.
