2020 Winter Discipleship Class Sign-Up
A disciple by definition is a learner. A disciple of Jesus is a learner of Jesus and his Word. In order to live and grow as a disciple of Jesus we need to continue to know Jesus through his Word in an intentional and relational context where we are challenged by God’s Word and encouraged to obey His Word. We do that mainly through Small Groups (Student Lounge & Life Groups) and Discipleship Classes at New Hope Fellowship.

This winter we offer two foundational classes: New Hope 101 and Faith 101. New Hope 101 is a membership class for newcomers and long-time attendees of our church to take the next step to become a covenant member of New Hope Fellowship. We encourage students who grew up at our church and made a transition from Hi-C to New Hope to take this class to become a covenant member of New Hope. Faith 101 is for anyone who would like to have more clarity and a firmer grasp on Christian faith, and those who wish to be baptized, confirmed, or to have their infant baptized.

We also offer two Bible studies: Coffee Break on the Gospel of John on Tuesday mornings and the Bible Study on the Gospels and Acts on Friday evenings. For those of you who want to do an in-depth study of the Bible and connect with fellow members in a small group context, we invite you to take advantage of these two classes. Parents who desire to grow in wisdom in this world full of devices can join a parenting class, Building a Tech-Wise Family and learn together everyday and practical steps for putting technology in its proper place.

New Hope 101 (Membership Class)
This class will provide those interested in becoming members an opportunity to learn about the history, vision, and core values of New Hope Fellowship (NHF). Those of you who are already members are also invited to join this class, to re-commit yourselves to be a faithful covenant member.

Audience: New and old attendees of New Hope who desire to become covenant members

Time: Two Saturdays (Feb 29, March 7) 9AM–1PM (Lunch provided)

Location: Room #308

Faith 101 (Doctrine & Baptism Class)
Using New City Catechism’s 52 questions, this class will cover important building blocks of Christian faith (God, human nature, sin, Jesus, salvation, Holy Spirit, church, baptism, etc). It will help us to know with clarity what we believe and what we don’t believe as a church. Please note that this is a part of a required process for people who would like to be baptized, or confirmed, or wish to have their infant baptized.

Audience: Anyone who would like to have more clarity and a firmer grasp on Christian faith, and those who wish to be baptized, confirmed, or to have their infant baptized.

Bible Study: Understanding the Gospels & Acts
The Gospels & Acts provides the narrative of Jesus’s life and ministry on earth, and how it ignited the early church. A greater understanding of these books will help us to get to know Jesus better as well as how we are then to live as believers. Come join us as we grow in familiarity with these books and learn tools to help deepen our understanding of them.  

Audience: Anyone who would like to learn to read the Bible

Coffee Break Bible Study: Gospel of John Part 3
Coffee Break is an inductive Bible study that connects both believers and seekers to the Bible through a small group setting, creating a safe place where friends read and learn together what the Bible says and means with personalized discussion questions based on the experiences and needs of the group. Through the Gospel of John, we will look at the ultimate reason for Jesus' coming into the world.  We will discover the meaning of "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:16,17). Of course, we will also look at the ultimate question of whether Jesus is the Savior.

Audience: Open to all ladies (part 1&2 not required)
