The OPTIONAL online exam will be available on Saturday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. and on June 15 at 2:00 p.m. More information will be emailed to the address below before the test dates.

IMPORTANT: Please log into your Parent Portal to download your child's current 5th grade progress report and their 3rd grade 2018-2019 Smarter Balanced Assessment math score. This is the minimum the District requires for placement; the placement exam is our third item to assess their current math ability. Email the two documents to Ms. Chau Cao at ctc4902@lausd.net. Your child will be placed in the appropriate math class based on the results of the exam and the other two documents.

Qualifications: Your incoming 6th grader earned 4's in 5th grade math and Met/Exceeded Standards on Smarter Balanced Assessment, he/she may qualify to enroll in the Highly Accelerated Common Core Math 6/7 course. Any student can take this test regardless of the above.
