Class description:
The CAP photography class will focus on teaching students how to use the photographic medium in a way to express their ideas and communicate their experiences. Students will use the cameras that are available to them, such as digital or cell phone cameras. We will develop technical skills to obtain the images that we are envisioning. Students will be exposed to works by historical and contemporary working photographers, and we will gain skills on how to critically break-down the visual language used by photographers. Group conversation is a large part of this class as every voice and perspective is valued and valuable.
