As a choreographer and theater maker I have often worked with children and young people in recent years. In these times I notice that many young people lose courage. They get tired and frustrated because they are not listened to and they do not find a way to express their creativity. Not obvious to be young now, to grow up, to discover the world. How is that, I wonder...
In January 2021 I therefore started the project: 'CREATIVE in SOLITUDE', a project by and for young people. I would like to invite you to let your (creative) voice be heard and to express what it means to you to be young today.
- What does it mean to me to be young today?
- How do I deal with loneliness?
- How do I see my generation?
- How do I connect with others?
- How do I feel?
You can give us an insight into your life and share your thoughts and experiences. Find a way to convert your thoughts and feelings into something beautiful - a text, an image, .... This way the project can grow into a large creative network by and for young people with which we can join our voices and also reach adults, policy makers and organizations.
On the basis of the project Creative in Solitude we will create a theatre-dance project Beating Choir/Choeurs Battants in a coproduction between BRONKS (BE) and LE CARROUSEL (CA).

creative.in.solitude@gmail.com. By uploading your text here, you give permission to edit and publish it on the CiS website and/or Instagram page and/or to insert it (anonymously) in an audio montage for the performance Beating Choir/Choeur Battants ( BRONKS (BE) - Le Caroussel (CA).

La crise sanitaire a tout chamboulé, notamment le quotidien des adolescents. Suffisamment âgés pour être des vecteurs du virus, mais trop jeunes pour ne pas avoir vraiment peur d'en mourir, ils sont pris en étau. Beaucoup d'entre eux se sentent déprimés et isolés. Zoë Demoustier (Bruxelles) et Marie-Eve Huot (Montréal) partagent la même envie de donner un espace aux jeunes afin qu’ils puissent, à leur manière, exprimer leur façon de vivre la solitude pendant la crise sanitaire qui sévit sur la planète.
La plateforme CREATIVE in SOLITUDE a été créée en janvier 2021. Elle a été imaginée pour vous, les jeunes, et vous invite à faire entendre votre voix (créative) et à exprimer ce que cela signifie pour vous d'être jeune aujourd'hui.

- Comment je vois ma génération ?
- Comment puis-je me connecter avec les autres?
- Comment je me sens?
Donnez un aperçu de votre vie quotidien, partagez votre expérience, et faites de vos pensées et de vos sentiments en quelque chose de beau : écrivez un texte, créez une image... Grâce à vous, le projet rayonnera et participera à créer un vaste réseau créatif Ensemble, grâce à cette plateforme, nous pourrons rejoindre les adultes, les décideurs politiques et les organisations. Certains des témoignages recueillis sur la plateforme CREATIVE in SOLITUDE pourraient être intégrés à la création d’un spectacle, Beating Choir/Chœur Battant, une coproduction entre BRONKS (Belgique) et Le Carrousel, compagnie de théâtre (Québec).

Als choreograaf en theatermaker heb ik de voorbije jaren dikwijls samengewerkt met kinderen en jongeren. In deze tijden merk ik dat vele jongeren de moed verliezen. Ze worden moe en zijn gefrustreerd omdat er niet of weinig naar hen wordt geluisterd en ze geen uitlaatklep vinden voor hun creativiteit. Niet evident om nu jong te zijn, op te groeien, de wereld te ontdekken. Hoe is dat dan, vraag ik me af...
Januari 2021 ben ik daarom gestart met een nieuw project: 'CREATIVE in SOLITUDE', een project van en voor jongeren. Daarmee wil ik je graag uitnodigen om je (creatieve) stem te laten horen en uit te drukken wat het voor jou betekent om vandaag jong te zijn.
- Wat betekent het voor mij om jong te zijn vandaag?
- Hoe ga ik om met eenzaamheid?
- Hoe zie ik mijn generatie?
- Hoe maak ik contact met anderen?
- Hoe voel ik mij?
Het belangrijkste is dat je een inkijk geeft in je leefwereld, dat je jouw ervaring kan delen, dat je je gedachten en gevoelens kan omzetten in iets moois - een tekst, een beeld,.... Zo kan het project uitgroeien tot een groot creatief netwerk van en voor jongeren waarmee we onze stemmen kunnen bundelen en ook volwassenen, beleidsmakers en organisaties bereiken.
Op basis van het project Creative in Solitude creëren we een theater-dansproject Beating Choir/Choeurs Battants in een coproductie tussen BRONKS (BE) en LE CARROUSEL (CA).
