Math is difficult enough these days without distractions. I am encouraging your child to choose education. Students will be expected to keep phones put up and turned off. They can choose to swap it for a calculator as well (as they come into class). If the phone is out for ANY REASON at any other time, it will be taken and turned into administration. Students will be given an opportunity (3 times) to turn it into "jail" which is a tupperware bin located at the front of the classroom. It will remain there for the rest of the block and the student will be allowed to retrieve it when the class is released at the end of the block. This is an attempt for all students to be focused in my class and make the highest potential grade they are capable of!!!
