2021 TWWBF Event Registration

*******REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED*******

This is the third year of The Write Women Book Fest and this year we are celebrating LOVE in its many forms - romantic, spiritual, parental, nature, whatever love means to you.

The first year, 2019, was held at Marietta House Museum and remains in cooperation with Prince George's County Parks & Rec and Marietta House Museum in Maryland.

The event is FREE to the public for entry.

This year will be a hybrid event, with both in-person and virtual elements.

The book tent will be virtual this year since crowd sizes are still quite limited due to covid, and will likely remain limited for the rest of this year. If for some reason Prince George's County Parks & Rec and Marietta relax the guidelines we may be able to have a limited number spaces available. To see last year's online book shop go here:

https://www.thewritewomenbookfest.org/twwbf-2020-shop.html

Most of our workshops, panels, and readings will also be online. To see the events offered last year go here:

We will be livecasting musical performances, story-times, and some readings at Marietta House.

We are also partnering this year with Prince George's County Memorial Library System who have agreed to accept a donation of books by authors participating in this year's book fest and put them in their circulating collection. They will also be putting up The Write Women Book Fest participant displays at three of their branches near the event site. If you wish to participate in this, please be prepared to donate one copy of one of your books for this purpose.

Additionally, Bowie Barnes & Noble has agreed to do a The Write Women Book Fest display in their Bowie, Maryland location. Authors with books in their system (must be wide distribution/returnable type) will be included in that display. If you do not have a book like that available through their system they will display marketing materials you supply, such as postcards or bookmarks.

From Prince George's County Parks related to the partnership with Marietta House and this event.

"Our sites continue to strive to tell stories that center on diversity, Inclusion, and social justice. We believe that historic sites are the conveners of social action and allow us to see the humanity in each other.  We believe that one of our goals is to inform the conscious of the communities we serve. We are having authentic conversations on history, diversity and social justice."

If distancing guidelines are relaxed on PG County Parks & Rec property are you interested in tabling at Marietta House on October 9th? Please understand attendance may be low, but it will be live cast. Also, we have a smaller tent this year so once that fills you would need to provide your own tent. First come first served in that regard.
