Precious Fur Employment Application
Precious Fur Cat Sitting cares for cats in the comfort of their own homes 365 days a year from 6am to 9pm. To ensure we can take care of ALL lonely kitties,  we rely on several flexible part-time professional employees around the city to work with a management team that takes care of client scheduling and other office communication. It is important that we have sitters available in all of our service areas at all times, especially during weekends and holidays.

Compensation for a 30-minute visit starts at $14.75, with the opportunity for performance-based rate increases and role advancement. Additionally, sitters receive reimbursements for cell phone usage; mileage and parking fees; and often receive service bonuses and tips from happy clients.

Although the company schedule is created and maintained by management staff, each sitter has the flexibility and expectation to manage their own individual schedules within company time windows (see below) and client service dates. Employees must have and maintain a smart phone with a data plan and a functional camera and have excellent communication skills.

Service Area
We cover a lot of ground in the Portland Metro area as a company, but we don't expect every sitter to work everywhere we service. During onboarding, each sitter is assigned to a territory to cover (loosely based on zip codes) that is based on the employee's home and/or work location(s) and mode of transportation.  Please take a look at our service area map below and use the following questions to indicate what areas would be a good, ok, and no-so-good fit for you. To keep it simple, we'll use zip codes.

We visit clients at all times of day, which allows our employees some schedule flexibility. Clients can choose a window of time to have their cat visited. In which of these time blocks could you be available to complete one or more 30- or 60-minute visits?
