WHAT IS THE SLEEP OUT?

The Sleep Out for the Homeless has always had 3 main components:
-Raise money for local agencies supporting those struggling with homelessness
-Create awareness around the realities of homelessness
-Host an event for students to gather that highlights the above 2 purposes

In order to accomplish the purpose of the Sleep Out, we are returning to the 29 year tradition of collecting money along Simpson Street (police presence is provided) while also living the night in a cardboard city in the First Church parking lot.  In addition to our usual means of street collecting, we will also use last years method for receiving online donations to account for the current coin shortage and to receive donations in a means more comfortable for some while in the midst of a pandemic.

Please read THE PARTICIPATION REMINDER DOCUMENT for more details.
