Arapahoe Charter School has the opportunity to participate in a new program for the 2021/2022 school year which would allow FREE COVID 19 testing in school. In trials, schools that participated in the testing program were able to rapidly identify and isolate cases of COVID 19, reduce the spread, and keep more students and staff in the classroom. Parental consent would be required before any testing could occur. Specimens would be collected via nasal swab (NOT a nasopharyngeal swab which requires deeper penetration of the nasal cavity). In order to have a successful testing program, the majority of the school population would need to consent to testing.
