Friends of GCS, we are looking for volunteers for our 2024 Grace Christian School Benefit Auction which will be held at Augusta EXPO in Fishersville on March 16, 2024. Auction Volunteer Jobs and Descriptions

Arm A Warrior Team - (3 Needed)

Childcare Team - (10+ Needed) Oversee off-site child care during the 2024 GCS Auction.
- Setting-up, running, and closing child care location
- Overseeing volunteers, sign-ups, food, snacks, and toys
- Oversee proper child check-in/check-out procedures
- 5:00pm - 8:00pm, multiple shifts

Clean Up/Take Down (10+ Needed) Just what it sounds like!
- Take down decorations, supplies, and unclaimed items
- Help load truck at EXPO, help unload at GCS
- Sweep

Event Site Set Up  Thursday, March 14, 2024 (8 Needed)
We’ll need lots of volunteers to help set up at the Expo site. Thursday daytime (9AM-2PM) will be table, chairs, unloading items. Thursday night (4PM -8PM) will be decorations, displays, silent auction set up, audio/visuals, balloons, etc.

Arts Team (4+ needed)   
Let's showcase our talented students by bringing GCS Arts to the auction!

- Organize and set up student artwork displays
- Coordinate live performances by GCS staff, students, or alumni
- Admire an Artist Fundraiser. This area is open for creativity.

Chairman - Heather Rogers

Food Team (8+ Needed) 
Managers will oversee high school volunteers as they assist in serving dinner, drinks and dessert.

- Oversee caterers
- Student servers
- Plate dinner, serve drinks, serve desserts

Registration / Check-Out (14+ Needed) 
Volunteers will assist guests with the check-out and payment process on the night of the auction.

- Computer database training will take place the day before the event or just prior to the event start
- Serve on the front line and register guests on our computer database.
- Ensure bidder registration forms are completed and give each bidder a copy of the auction catalog/ bidder number paddle
- Volunteers needed in the weeks before the auction to enter items into our software, Greater Giving.
- We will have several shifts scheduled.

Silent & Live Staging/Retrieval (8+ Needed) 
Coordinates staging of all silent and live auction items.

- Stage items the week of the auction (creating baskets, bundles, etc.)
- At end of silent auction, volunteers will help with collecting/filing bidder sheets
- Help in item retrieval area
