About the Event
Join us for an Earth Day workshop to learn about the iNaturalist app with Lisa Proulx.  If you are interested in exploring the woods but not really sure what you are looking at - this is the workshop for you!

iNaturalist Canada combines one of the world’s most popular nature apps with a bilingual interface and helps you instantly identify plants and animals anywhere you go; from backyards and neighborhoods to remote forests and countrysides. Get connected with a community of over a million scientists and naturalists who can help you learn more about nature! What’s more, by recording and sharing your observations, you’ll create research quality data for scientists working to better understand and protect nature.

Participants are asked to download the free iNaturalist app and create an account before attending the workshop.

The first part of the workshop will focus on how to use the app and its various features.  Then we will move to the Arlington Teaching Forest (approximately 15 minute drive from the library) to explore the woods and practice what you've just learned!

If you can download iNaturalist  before the workshop great - it not there is free wifi at the Library!
