There are 5 steps in the certification process that can take 6–12 months to complete. Throughout this process, you will work directly with an ESDM Certified Trainer who will mentor you to help you understand all components of ESDM Therapy as reviewed during your advanced training workshop. Communication between yourself and your trainer will be primarily through online video conferencing and email. You will need a professional translator familiar with translating via Zoom when not fluent in English.
Therapists will need to devote a significant amount of time and effort to complete paperwork, practice, and reflect on their ESDM implementation. While we are committed to supporting trainees in successfully completing all the steps, certification is not guaranteed.
At your initial discussion with your ESDM Certified Trainer, you will review the Therapist Certification Plan and agree on a date for completion of the first step. You and your trainer will continue to schedule sessions that will use a coaching approach to support you in reflecting on your practice using the ESDM.
Cost Breakdown
The total cost of certification is $2,100. This cost is based on a maximum of 13.5 hours of support. If you do not successfully complete all of the steps within this 13.5-hour of support time frame, you will be billed at an hourly rate of $200/hour for certification to continue.
Payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and payable via e-transfer, PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer. You will be invoiced and can choose how to pay at that time.
