YVAN & The Artists Journey
Background:

YVAN is a sector support agency dedicated to finding and delivering timely ways to support artists practice in the Yorkshire and Humber region. It is part of a national sector support agency with this purpose called the Contemporary Visual Arts Network that develops advocacy, support and policy proposals for funders and the Government.

The Artists’ Journey Conference at Sheffield Hallam University is part of the Art and Design department’s Professional Practice offer and support to students, graduates and alumni and will take place in collaboration with YVAN in June 2021.

This is the 4th year of collaboration on the Conference, and together we have decided to design the conference a bit differently by crowdsourcing the key themes on the day with the community of practitioners themselves.


Purpose:

To do this we are embarking on research asking the community what it needs. The survey is to help YVAN and The Artists Journey Conference to gather information on artists networks in the region.

This research will:
 
- Support The Artists Journey Conference by inviting artists or representatives of a network to contribute.
- Build YVAN’s knowledge base of networks across the region
- Share your network with us so we can support your programmes, by circulating your practice and
  opportunities.
