Cub Scout Code of Conduct

On my honor, I promise to do my best, to comply with this Boy Scouts of America Code of Conduct as a Cub Scout of Pack 7009:

I promise to do my best to:

0. Do my best and try everything I have been asked to do.

1. Be kind to other people and animals.

2. Keep my hands, feet, body parts and all other objects to myself (This includes tag, we do not play tag)

3. Listen when others are talking.

4. Pay attention, and in response to “scout sign,” silently return the sign, stop talking, and listen.

5. Demonstrate respect for all adults and scouts in authority by listening to instructions and following directions. Even if the adult is my parent or the scout is my brother or sister.

6. Wait my turn.

7. Not run, unless running is specifically allowed

7. Always work together as a team.

8. Use good manners “Please,” “Thank you,” “May I please,” “No thank you,”

9. Be positive - "I can do it" or "I will try."

10. Not tattle on other kids.

11. Actively Participate in the activities of the den or pack. I will do the thing or try to do the thing that is being taught. I will listen and follow directions (I understand active participation is not the same as attendance. Active participation is going to den/pack meetings and den/pack activities more than 50% of the time.)

12. Stay with my den/pack and will not roam around during den/pack meetings or activities.

13. Be honest and always tell the truth.

14. Wear a proper uniform that is clean, neat and complete–to all Scouting events.

a. I will wear my scout t-shirt, with appropriate pants or shorts when asked.

b. I will wear my scout uniform tucked in, with appropriate pants or shorts when asked.

c. I will wear clothing and shoes appropriate for the activity.

15. Scouts must use the “Buddy System” on all Den and Pack activities while not with the group.

16. Scouts are NOT permitted to carry or use a knife during any Pack event. Bear and Webelos Scouts are only permitted to use a pocket knife during Den events and only under continuous supervision of an adult, and must have a “Whittling Chip” card in possession.

17. Show respect for your surroundings, indoors and out, leaving them as good or in better condition than when they were found.
