As a part of our Wangari@80 celebration, we want to highlight the projects and undertakings that have been inspired by or within the realm of Prof Wangari Maathai's work.

Perhaps you're undertaking a tree-planting campaign in your neighbourhood, or cleaning up a park, the seashore, or wildlife habitat. Perhaps you’re organizing to bring more green issues into politics or engaging at the grassroots to bring peace to a troubled world. Perhaps you’re helping to educate girls, or increasing political participation, or using your creativity to address the climate crisis

No matter the scale of your project, we want to include you in our celebration. Prof believed in the Power of One—that each of us can make a difference while collectively, we are a force.
