BOE Comment Form
The Board of Education encourages public comment on school related matters at Board meetings, as outlined in policy 1230:  Public Comment at Board Meetings. The Board of Education provides members of the public with opportunities to make a comment during the monthly business meeting. The first opportunity,  a period not to exceed 30 minutes, is set aside during the first part of each Business meeting, with priority given to comments on items on the meeting’s agenda. The second opportunity,  a period not to exceed 30 minutes, is set aside at the end of each Business meeting, with priority given to comments about the district but not on the agenda. The Board of Education may extend the time allocated for each public comment opportunity by a majority vote.
  • 1st Session for Public Comments|  Occurs at the beginning of each Business Meeting for items related to the agenda only before the Board takes any action. 
  • 2nd Session  for  Public Comments| Occurs at the end of each Business Meeting for items related to the district  and not on agenda items.
Guidelines for Questions/Comments:
  • Each speaker must complete a question/comment form prior to asking a question or making a comment at the Board Meeting.
  • Each speaker will be limited to 3 minutes.
  • Anyone wishing to speak a second time can do so after all first time speakers have been addressed.  
  • A microphone will be available so that members of the public can be easily heard by the Board and audience.
