Spanish Language Immersion: Herricks Kindergarten Commitment Form for 2024-2025 School Year
All parent(s)/guardian(s), including those with a child currently in the Spanish Language Immersion Program, must complete this commitment form as the next step in the process IF you wish to proceed in the process. If there are twins, please submit one form per child. Failure to attend an informational meeting will result in having your child's name removed from the interest list. This commitment form is to be completed for incoming kindergarteners only. Once you submit the form, the office of the assistant superintendent of schools will notify families if their child will be part of the program, as shared at the informational meeting due to limited availability. Please contact the director, Mr. Fratto, if you have any questions. A copy of the form will be sent to your email once submitted. Please check your Spam folder.

The district's guidelines for siblings in the program: Families with a child / children in the elementary Spanish immersion program in September of 2024 will automatically have their incoming kindergartner included in the program, without going through a possible lottery. If you have a child / children in the immersion program at the secondary level, your incoming kindergartner must go through the process as all others, without guaranteed placement. ALL families must attend one of the mandatory meetings. If you have a child in the program, elementary and/or secondary, please check the following. *
There are only 48 spots available. A lottery will be held if there are more than 48 students are interested in the program.  *
