The Mental Health Safe Project: Interested Organizations
The Mental Health Safe Project addresses inappropriate published guidance about mental illness and collects resources to help people living with mental health conditions address everyday discrimination.
MH Safe has successfully worked to get law schools, professional associations, and industry websites to make changes to instructional material teaching professionals to treat people with mental illness as if they are more violent, to invade their privacy, and to otherwise provide them disparate treatment.
We are looking for organizations to sign on to learn more about our awareness campaigns so publishers understand many communities find their language or guidance to be disempowering. Interested organizations will be added to a monthly newsletter letting them know about content they may want to speak up about. No organization name will ever be cited by MH Safe, and the only time anyone will ever know you are involved is if you self-identify. MH Safe will just tell people the number and type of organizations on its distribution list without identifying which ones.
Please use this form to let us know if you would like to discuss having your organization become part of our distribution list and we will be in touch with you soon.
