                                                      2024 Career Day
                                                    Volunteers Needed
Career Day is April 5, 2024

Would you like to volunteer your time? Do you have a friend or family member who would like to volunteer their time? We are looking for speakers to talk with students in fifth and sixth grade about their career fields; sharing information such as education requirements, job responsibilities, a typical day, and pros and/or cons of the career field. The more interactive the presentation is, the better. In the coming months we will provide volunteers with tips for creating presentations.

Volunteering will require approximately a 2-hour commitment in the morning. We plan for the program to run from about 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The day will consist of three 30-minute sessions. Most volunteers will be asked to present for two or three sessions. If you are only able to present for one session, we will be very flexible in our scheduling. You will be presenting to groups of children in classrooms. We know that this day is a long time from now, but the planning and scheduling will be very time consuming.

If you would like to volunteer your time to speak at Career Day, please fill out the form below. To ensure that we have sufficient time to schedule student activities we ask that you submit no later than Monday, February 12. Please contact our school counselor, Celeste Thompson with any questions. (cdthompson1@fcps.edu .) Thank you, we look forward to working with you to make this a special day for our students as well as fulfilling for you.
