UPPER SCHOOL ONLY Front Desk Volunteer: Volunteers need to be able to commit to at least a 1/2 day shift (Morning: 7:30am-11:30am and Afternoon: 11:30am-3:30pm). Please indicate what day(s) of the week and which shift(s) you would be able to cover.
UPPER SCHOOL ONLY Lunch Volunteer: This involves running the Point of Sale (posting lunch to the student's online account) during the lunch period. Please indicate what day(s) of the week you would be able to help. Lunch times are M-Th 11:10-12:30; Friday 10:25-12:30. Please plan to arrive and sign in no later than 10 min before the lunch start time. A short Civil Rights training must be completed online for this volunteer position. UPPER SCHOOL ONLY Room Parents Needed: One parent needed for each section of our middle school grades (6th, 7th, and 8th) and one parent needed for each high school grade (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th). Duties include planning a teacher luncheon (one per grade per year) and occasionally emailing your section or grade with important news (Spirit Night info or sign-ups, etc). There are no required meetings and most, if not all, of the work can be done remotely and after hours. Please indicate which grade and section (for middle school grades) you'd like to volunteer for.
LOWER SCHOOL Garden Keeper: Please help maintain our awesome garden beds (planting, watering, weeding, etc). At least one family needed per grade. Please contact Mrs. Ferguson with questions: paula.ferguson@greatheartsirving.org
Spirit Nights Committee Members: Committee Chairs Paulina Moreno and Maria Bascom could use a couple more people to help research and plan Spirit Nights (both activities/outings and at restaurants), help with advertising and communications (making and placing signs, sending texts or emails to classmates, etc), and help on the day of the event as a chaperone/host/cheerleader. Please indicate if you have a preference for a certain task. Restaurants are for both lower and upper school but activities will be grade specific, so please be sure to indicate which campus below. Help with signs and communication for restaurants and activities will be needed at both campuses.

Teacher TLC Committee: Assist committee chairs Diane Carpenter (Teacher Lounge Manager) and Amanda Nicholls (Teacher Appreciation Luncheons) with keeping the lounges stocked or planning and setting up luncheons. Your name will be added to a list of volunteers to be communicated with whenever there are needs.

Spirit Store Committee: Assist committee chair, Ashley Davis, with necessary communications, marketing, delivering orders, in-person sales (when/if possible), etc. Please indicate what you'd prefer to help with and give an idea of your availability.
Cookie Exchange Committee Chair and Committee Members: Create signup geniuses for lower and upper school for parents to donate holiday baked goods for the annual Cookie Exchange in each teacher lounge. Cookie Exchange will be the week of 12/14/20 at both campuses. Flyers, email advertisements/communications, and sign-ups will need to go out the week before in order for the donations to be dropped off the week of 12/14. On 12/14, volunteers are needed at both campuses to set up the spread and supplies. Please contact pso@greatheartsirving.org with questions!

Snowflake Fund Committee: Volunteers needed to help with the planning, communication, and execution of our annual Snowflake Fund. The Snowflake Fund is a school-wide opportunity to contribute to a holiday gift fund for all of our amazing faculty and staff. Please indicate if you are interested in helping and what you might prefer to do (help set up a donations website, help make flyers, help with communications, donate stationery, address envelopes, etc).
Teacher Appreciation Week Committee: Chair and committee members needed. The PSO would love to have a lead volunteer to spearhead the planning and execution of TAW.
