6.1.2024 Digital Archive and Curriculum Launch Party: AAPI Activism Oral History Project
Please join us on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin Annex from 10:30AM - 1:30PM for the official launch party of the AAPI Perspectives Oral History Project's digital archive and curriculum program!

This event, which will include a program, teaching demonstration, and reception, will celebrate the website launch of JAMsj's new resource page featuring the AAPI Perspectives Oral History Project. This groundbreaking project, a collaboration with San José State University Asian American Studies and generously funded by the County of Santa Clara, draws from 33 original oral history interviews of Santa Clara County AAPI activists to create meaningful and engaging curriculum for K-12 students focusing on the themes of "Narrative and Identity", "Systems and Power", "Joy and Cultural Resistance", and "Transformation and Change". All the curriculum modules and a digital archive of the full oral histories will be available on the JAMsj website starting on June 1, 2024.

All are welcome to attend to learn more about the project and to hear some of the amazing stories included in this trailblazing project.
