MedHack 2021 EOI: Get Involved - Mentor, Co-design, Sponsor, Support, Hack

WHAT IS MEDHACK?
MedHack is Melbourne’s premier student-run Healthcare Innovation hackathon. We bring students together across Victoria, at the intersection of design, engineering, healthcare and entrepreneurship in a 48-hour sprint to help reimagine the future of healthcare.

WHAT'S HAPPENING?
200 individuals from across Victoria will form interdisciplinary teams, be matched with a Co-designer, attend Masterclasses, prototype solutions and pitch for cash and prizes at MEDHACK:EMPOWER 2021.

How can I get involved?
CO-DESIGN (Panel + ~2 hours) :
- Shape the problem statements for attendees to explore, ideate and develop solutions
- Share the challenges and opportunities from your lived experience surrounding a specific condition.  

SPONSOR / PROVIDE A PRIZE:
- Connect with exceptional student talent and community of mentors
- Align your organisation and brand with the largest student-run healthcare hackathon in Australia
- Get talented students working on innovation opportunities in your industry

MENTOR ( ~2 hours):
- Use your expertise to guide hackathon teams as they journey from idea to prototyping to pitching in 48 hours
- We are looking for mentors across different disciplines including health, entrepreneurship, design, engineering and commercialisation
- Share the challenges and opportunities from your professional experience of diagnosing, treating or managing a specific chronic disease.

EARLY-STAGE START-UP PROMO:
- If you are start-up, MedHack is open to promoting companies and entrepreneurs that are contributing to Healthtech and MedTech Innovation.
- Add your merch or marketing material to tote bags (150 tote bags) or provide a prize.

ATTEND THE PITCHES:
- On the Sunday the 5th of September we will be allowing guests to listen to pitches and see the work teams have completed over 48 hours
