Welcome to the 2021 Ramsay Community Gardening Season!
About the garden:
The Ramsay Community Garden was established in 2008 and is located to the north of the Ramsay Community Association outdoor rink at 2102 Ramsay st SE. It includes 18 large and 4 small individual plots that can be rented for a season.
Our garden is about bringing the community together, getting to know your neighbours and providing a healthy space to collectively improve, maintain and enjoy.
Gardening season:
The garden season typically starts in May with a spring clean-up and ends with a fall clean-up in October.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, stay tuned for information regarding organized clean-ups. Depending on the weather, the start and end of the season may shift. The RCA Gardening Committee will communicate via email with gardeners regarding dates for clean-ups, events, maintenance issues and garden news.
How can I become a member?
In order to join the RCA Garden, you must be a resident of Ramsay and a member of the Ramsay Community Association. You will be prompted to sign up or renew your RCA membership when this year’s card expires on June 30, 2021. Memberships are currently $15.75/individual.
How much is a garden plot?
There is no cost to submit an application. Should you be awarded a plot, the fees are:
•
Large individual plots: $35.00/season
•
Small individual plots: $25.00/season
Payment:
Previous plot renters receive priority and remaining plots will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Once the application window closes, the Garden Committee will notify all applicants of their status.
