Atrium of Deafening Silence Application
Thank you for considering my chaotic self's campaign. (I know this is long and I do apologize for that.)

This game will be sandbox, the world will move on with or without you, but the direction it will take is affected by your choices.

Time: I live in cst (which I believe is utc-5 or 6) and will start sessions sometime in the evening after 18:00 cst, though I can flex that a bit if absolutely necessary; history wise though every campaign I've run tended to start around 19:30 cst. Days: Any day excluding Tuesday.

I enjoy the cooperative part in TTRPGs. Player interaction and cooperation is important to me.  I like working with players to create something awesome. I suck at doing stuff alone but having people enjoy what I do, or even better enjoying, talking, and working with me makes me much more motivated. I also think its important for people to support and highlight other players as much as themselves. Ultimately I want to make sure both myself and everyone else is having fun.

                                                                                    About Me:
(Name): Most people call me Koala, but ill make an exception and allow you to call me whatever you want. *response may be patchy depending on your chosen nickname for me* (Pronouns): Non-existent for am I even real or just a disembodied voice in your head. (Age): 23 or am I? For what approximation of age are we using? (Notes): I did not consent to my existence, but I will make of it what I can. I like doing many things poorly and nothing perfect, though my brain keeps making me try only to my inevitable disappointment. I like learning a bunch of different stuff: I enjoy art, writing, woodworking, sculpting, sewing, urban development, psychology, nature, animals, etc... I like knowing things. I'm neurodivergent and will sometimes hyper focus on dumb stuff and somehow 12 hours have past; time is a concept of the mind that I do not control.  (Weaknesses): Everything. (Strengths): Pure spite to learn and get better. (Warning): I like ranting and I also tend to randomly lose all inhibitions and might overshare stuff. I will off course try not to,(and normally don't want to) but I don't promise things I may not follow through on. I also sometimes end up talking in circles, while my brain stops bluescreening. I do occasionally dabble in the ole sarcasm too.
(Dislikes): If I went through all of them I'd need too many rants and such much time. So just to keep it short, my biggest hatred currently is people being anti-human rights and ghosting.

(TTRPG) I have roughly 6 years of experience both as a player and gm. I am currently in a campaign as a player, that has been ongoing for 3 years. I've GMed one-shots and short campaigns of 3ish months, but I have been doing it for years. I'd still consider myself an absolute novice though cause I don't think time really equates to skill. Stuff I may not currently do for my campaign I may learn and implement later.(Notes): I like a mixture of silly and serious moments and characters. I also tend to like my campaigns to have a overarching theme to them, but that's very open to change if players don't want that. My brain is not good at keeping a constant accent and will randomly switch them mid rp. I am not great at rp or improv in general, but I am trying to learn and get better. Honestly just overall lots of things I need to get better at and hopefully i will with time and practice.

                                                                               Campaign Stuff:
Currently the game runs on a d100 system with a 3 tier, success, mixed, or failure. Though I tend to not like constantly asking for rolls cause I think it slows the game down, so usually I just let players do stuff if it makes sense for them to easily be able to. I also have a few optional rules for spice that the group will decide if they want ahead of time.
I enjoy focusing more on the narrative but will change the mixture of combat to roleplay depending on the group. I like focusing on character's struggles, journeys, and how it interacts with the greater world or other player characters. I am trying out combat that's less initiative based and more narrative and free form though depending on the situation I may mix up usage. I like having a mix of quick and brutal combats (duels, party v monster(s), small groups) with some longer form combats (sieges, wave defense, invasions). The exact path the story/game will go depends on the players. Likewise how hardcore, in-depth, micro-manage(y?,ish?), silly, serious, etc., (just style in general) depends on the group. In my mind NPCs should be like people, even someone who jokes around will usually be serious when the time calls for it.

(Players Characters):  You will begin as an undead of what is in your surroundings, this may be a singular skeleton humanoid/animal, an amalgamation of many things, or maybe some other basic undead.  As you play  your undead (pc) will grow and evolve, what direction this takes is yours to decide, some examples being; a massive lurching monstrosity, something incorporeal, a master of other lesser undead, an undead magical disaster, a sword master wielding your own bones as weapons, etc...
(Now for a very important question can you die?): For what does an undead have to fear anymore if your already dead. Short answer: yes, you can gain the blessing of a true permanent death. Even an undead has something that must tie them down to this mortal plane, even for one who is not fully physical in nature. Even though death may come to you as a challenge, that doesn't mean you cant lose body parts or be reduced to a pile of meat and bones.

                                                                                 The World:
This is a fantasy world, there is magic and nonsensical discoveries around every corner.
(Name): "              " Who knows, you for sure can't remember. Is this place you woke up connected to an area familiar to you or is this body of land unclaimed, unexplored, and ripe for your conquering. Currently no known ways back and no memories to know what back even means. Are you on a different plane, universe, continent, or just meters away from your home? At least for now, you don't remember; hopefully those flashes of images keep happening.
This continent is hostile, unknown, and unexplored. The land has been marred by wars both past and present. Tech/development is sparse, and any progress that does happen is quickly buried beside their owner only to be lost in time.
(I will give more info depending if the group wants a total black out of knowledge, so they are free to explore blind or they want a quick summary overview.)

Ideally the world is living thing, where every faction and creature has its own goals that will interact with each other even without the players. I want the players actions or inactions to have meaning and consequence, making your choices have an actual effect on the surroundings.

                                                                                       Logistics:
Currently I only use Discord server for voice and chat. Video is optional, I currently don't, but may in the future; it would be fun to have a top down view of physical maps. I don't use a vtt atm; in the future I may make battle maps/environments, though currently I do not have the motivation nor talent, so most of the game will be theater of the mind. I do have a world map, but depending on the players' wants that may be private, public, or a fog of war situation.

TLDR: A good microphone and Discord.

                                                                           My Player Expectations:
Ability to respect me and the other players.
Ability to communicate and settle problems in a mature fashion.
Motivation and excitement to play and be involved.
Just human well? Don't be gross to other people.

(This game is a lot of work for everyone so please don't waste mine and other player's effort and time. If you cant make it to a session, something comes up, or changes please communicate that with me, ideally before-hand.)

                                                                                       Misc.
Full transparency, I may not have ordered this in the best way, sorry. Also some stuff might be redundant.
Session 0 will also talk about and/or (re)elaborate on some stuff in this.
I may add you on discord to get more info and check your vibe/if you'd mesh well, and if it all works out we will all suffer together <3. I'll try to respond in a prompt matter.
I'm sure I missed some stuff (hopefully not) so apologies in advance.

What days/times are you available? *
What frequency and length of sessions would you prefer? *
I'm looking to gm weekly for about 3-4 hours but I am very open to changing that depending on the group's wants.
This will be a longer form campaign, can you commit to that? *
How long exactly will be decided by the group. Examples being: 6 months, 1 year, until we decide we want to wrap the story up, story arcs with breaks in-between.
Can you act like a mature human and accept/accommodate other people's differences, wants, and needs? *
As much as I like rants, banter, and jokes, I will not tolerate any actual hate, be that sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc... Exact lines with what is ok to joke about will be talked about with the group.
I will be actively working on and developing both the game and the world, and hope to work with the group to make cool stuff together.
Are you ok with testing new stuff? *
changes will be passed by the group beforehand
I personally like making the foundations/laws of the world; then letting players learn, develop, or use those laws.
Like how physics are in our world, then people learned to abuse them to let us fly.
In this game there are no set paths you have to take, it's ultimately up to you to forge your own. Are you ok with the time, commitment, and effort that'll take? *
Would you enjoy working together with me to develop what you or your character are interested in?
If so does anything come to mind that interests you?
This could be stuff like abilities, magic, sculpting your mortal coil, smithing, etc...
(If this changes, or you don't know atm, don't worry about it.)
What's your experience with TTRPGs or similar things.
(Any level of experience is welcome)
What is important to you in a TTRPG?
This can range from combat to roleplay division, having battle/world maps, lore, little details; this could also be stuff like personally keeping notes, journals, drawing maps.
What style of campaigns do you prefer?
What do you expect from a gm?
What expectations do you have for other players?
Have you ever used safety tools? If so which ones do you like?
Any sensitive topics?
Language, Lines and veils, phobias, etc...
What do you think should be the consequences for a player that doesn't adhere to the rules or doesn't show up to sessions without warning or explanation?
Tell me about yourself
Give me your pitch
Any accommodations, needs, stuff I should know, etc...?
I'll go first, I'm neurodivergent, my short term memory and executive function in general sucks; my sleep schedule is nonexistent, but ill still make every session even if I have to not sleep. My internet sometimes has minor hiccups which make me/my voice lag for a few seconds to a minute. (hoping to get that fixed soon though.)
I enjoy hiding Easter eggs in everything I do. Do you like treasure hunts?
Brownie points for any you have found or any you may find in the future. Did you find any?
Anything I missed or any questions you have for me?
Would you like to be kept in mind for future games?
I may run more games in the future, so if it ends up not working out this time mark this if you'd like to be kept in mind for the future.
