Summer Program Director

-Oversee creating and implementing daily schedules, activities, and ministry curriculum for all ages.

-Report to and assist the Assistant Director in caring for and supervising counseling staff.

-The summer program director is the leader of the summer staff. You will be looked to for answers, guidance, discipline and instruction throughout the summer. People in this role thrive most when they have been on staff in previous summers and had multiple different roles.

Day Camp Director

-The first responsibility of the Day Camp Director is to supervise day campers and Day Camp Staff. This includes planning Day Camp programs and activities, interacting with day camper parents (running check-in/check-out), and discipling Day Camp Staff through activities that develop community and spiritual growth.

-On non-Day Camp weeks, the director may host a family during All Ages weeks and continue discipleship programs with the Day Camp Staff alongside the Junior Staff Director and Junior Staff. The day camp director is to report to the Assistant Director.

Media Director

-Responsible for capturing everything that happens at camp. This includes creating a weekly camp highlight video and slideshow

-Responsible for running the soundboard during chapel times

-Put together camp promotional videos to use during next year’s promotional events.

-Craft daily social media posts

-This role may also be a counselor

Worship Director

-Oversee planning and coordinating the worship aspect of Chapel, to include organizing worship teams, choosing music, and being prepared for each chapel service ahead of time.

-If the worship director is not a counselor and is instead filling another role as well, they will be expected to host weekly speakers and coordinate their needs for chapel times.

Aquatics Director

-Supervise all activities and staff at the waterfront.

-Must have 3 years waterfront experience, current Red Cross Lifeguarding and Water Safety
Instructor certification or equivalent.

-Also have advanced First Aid, and current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.

Jr. Staff Director (Hospitality Manager)

-Responsible for the direction and supervision of the high school students who will make up the Jr Staff

-The Jr Staff Directors will work alongside Jr. Staff in service around camp both in the kitchen and cleaning/housekeeping, as well as organize activities for the Jr Staff

-Execute a discipleship curriculum which includes Bible study, leadership training, team building, and service.

Area Directors/Counselors:
Arts & Crafts, Athletics, Boating, and Nature

-Plan & implement activities in the specific activity area.

-Set up for and lead afternoon activity area time each day

-Specific duties vary based on the activity area (i.e. responsibilities of boating director differ from that of nature director)

-*Note that Area Directors also serve as Counselors

Counselor (18+) :

-Counselors are responsible for leading a group of 8-12 campers through a week of summer camp, building individual relationships with each of their campers. Responsibilities include leading Bible studies, small group discussions, facilitating games, and most importantly being a positive Christian role model to all campers.

-Assist in group discussions and lead daily devotions.

-Every day each counselor will help facilitate a different area of camp during afternoon activities: lifeguarding (waterfront), athletics, arts & crafts, boating, or outdoor adventure.

-Experience with kids of all age groups is preferred.

-One year of college or job experience is preferred before becoming a counselor. Consideration may also be given to students that have completed our Jr. Staff training program previously.

Cook’s Assistant

-Assist cook with preparing and serving meals, and maintaining a clean
kitchen.

-When not in kitchen, assist with other camp duties assigned.

Jr. Staff and Day Camp Staff

-Daily kitchen set up and clean up

-Daily cleaning/housekeeping various buildings

-Assist counselors in cabins and with programming
-Participate in discipleship training and fun activities with the Junior Staff Director and Day Camp Director.

-Junior Staff who have a high interest with working with young children (Kindergard-5th grade) may be chosen to be part of the Day Camp Staff. This means your role will differ during day camp weeks to help facilitate our day camp under the Day Camp Director from 9am-5pm outside of regular junior staff responsibilities.

Lifeguard (18+ Preferred)

-Must have current Red Cross Lifeguarding equivalent. Also have advanced First Aid, and current CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.

-Experience preferred.

-May also be a counselor or help in other areas when needed.

Maintenance Crew

-Responsible for maintaining camp grounds and buildings and buildings (this includes mowing, painting, weeding, repairing items, and any special projects).
-Provide support and set up for program activities.

Office Assistant

-Assist with basic office duties including registration, answering phones, etc.

-Oversee camp store and snack store.

-Perform other duties as necessary
