Do you need support and guidance to help you in understanding and navigating ethical issues in your early childhood work? The NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct provides this foundation for challenging situations in the workplace. This session will take a look at terms such as values and ethics, while taking a virtual walk through the Code itself. This code can be your guide for giving you a sense of professional identity while communicating to those outside of the early childhood profession what they can expect from its members. Understanding ethical conduct is critical to making appropriate decisions for young children and families in our communities."

Learning Objectives: To become aware that ethics is an essential part of the early childhood profession; To gain a deeper understanding of the ethical dimensions of the work with children and families; and To develop skills in identifying and analyzing ethical dilemmas.
