Troop 20 Merit Badge & Activity Requests for Summer 2023 Lost Pines Scout Camp
For a full list of merit badges and activities see these pages from the Lost Pines Leader Guide: Merit Badges LPSR 2023 (activities listed below in order of appearance in this resource).  Check the program grid on the last page to ensure the schedule allows you to do the choices you have selected. Ask Mrs. Davis is you aren't sure what to pick or need help understanding the schedule.

The merit badges and activities with an age limit are listed in the second question.

Read carefully--some merit badges can't be completed at camp and/or they require scouts to do some work in advance or bring some materials.  Even if you can't finish a merit badge, camp is still the most efficient way to make merit badge progress.  Troop 20 will help you finish anything that can't be done at camp.

Note that some eagle required merit badges are a choice of 2 or 3:
  • Emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving
  • Environmental Science or Sustainability
  • Swimming, Hiking, or Cycling.
Some merit badges or activities take 2 periods, some have age requirements, and some have additional fees.

Silver Pines: Scouts interested in the Silver Pines adventure program should skip the merit badge choices question.  The program is geared to provide high adventure-readiness activities for its participants. The scout’s week will be filled with exciting activities such as hiking, canoeing, kayaking, SCUBA familiarization, shotgun shooting, and COPE. Overnight trips to remote parts of camp, or even off camp, are possible.  Must be 14. Additional $50 fee.  The Silver Pines participants will meet Sunday afternoon to plan their week!
