Rey Chow, Andrew W. Mellon Distinguished Professor of the Humanities at Duke University, is the author of numerous monographs on literature, film, theoretical problematics, and cultural politics. Her writings have appeared in a dozen languages. With James A. Steintrager, she is the co-editor of the volume Sound Objects (2019) and the co-author, most recently, of the essay “Dispatches to the Dead: Delegation, Consumption, and Mischievous Pleasure,” in the collection Medialities, forthcoming from the German publisher transcript.
