Dear Parents and Carers,

On Monday 6th February 2023, Year 5 will be going on a visit to Hornchurch Country Park. The trip will link to our topic of WW2 in History and therefore will help the children put their learning into context.

The children need to arrive promptly at school at 8.30am. We will be getting a bus so would like to set off as early as possible in order to maximise our time there. We plan to arrive back at school at 3pm however this is subject to the circumstances on the day and parents will be informed via Facebook/Squid if anything changes.

Children are required to wear their school uniform on the day of the trip. We will be getting the bus however the day will involve lots of walking therefore we suggest children wear trainers (or other comfortable shoes) and weather appropriate clothing as our day will be spent outside. If the weather means our trip cannot go ahead, it will be postponed to the following term. 

We will be having lunch out therefore your child will need a back lunch, unless required from school, and a bottle of water. If your child requires a packed lunch from school, please complete the online form or visit the office. The form will also give you an opportunity to volunteer to help.
