IMPORTANT: PLEASE COMPLETE THIS APPLICATION FROM A COMPUTER, NOT FROM A MOBILE DEVICE.

Thank you for your interest in the Vail School District. The Vail Unified School District accepts applications from VUSD parents wishing to have their elementary or middle school child attend a Vail school outside of their home school attendance boundary area (Transfer Application) and from parents from neighboring school districts, living outside of the VUSD district wishing to have their child considered for enrollment in a VUSD school (Open Enrollment Application).

VUSD will accept online applications between December 1 and midnight March 1 (Priority Deadline), one per child each year.  The district will continue to accept applications after the March 1 Priority Deadline based on the availability of enrollment space.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to recent changes in the laws surrounding Open Enrollment, a new application is not necessary if your student will remain enrolled in the same school. Please reach out to your student's school to declare your intent to return for the upcoming year. If you wish your student(s) to change schools, or if they have completed all grades at their current school and will be moving to middle or high school, please complete this application and make your school selection requests.

High School Transfer Applications:

If you are applying for your student to transfer from their current high school to another high school in the district, please return to the VUSD District Website, and locate the High School Transfer Application on the Enroll Now page. Applications for Fall transfer are accepted from October 15 to November 15, and for Spring transfer from March 15 to April 15. The form will not accept applications outside these timeframes.
