ProZ.com Remote Interpreting Conference: Call for speakers
ProZ.com is putting together a virtual conference to be held on  April 2024.  This ProZ.com/TV Interpreting Conference event is free to attend.  

The theme of our Interpreting TV event revolves around providing interpreters with valuable insights, practical tips, and real-world experiences that can enrich their career path. We aim to cover a wide range of topics relevant to interpreters, including but not limited to:

  1. Best practices in simultaneous interpreting: techniques, challenges, and strategies for mastering real-time interpreting in a variety of settings.
  2. Professional Development and Professional Growth: Tips, resources, and advice for advancing in the interpreting industry.
  3. Technology and Tools for Interpreters: Exploration of the latest advances in interpreting technology, software tools, and online platforms that improve productivity and efficiency.
  4. Ethical Considerations and Cultural Sensitivity: Address ethical dilemmas, cultural nuances, and challenges faced by interpreters in multicultural and diverse environments.
  5. Client management and communication skills: Strategies for effective client communication, managing expectations, and building strong professional relationships as an interpreter
Presentations are typically 20 minutes in duration (pre-recorded) followed by a 10-minute live Q&A.
