On May 20–22, 2019, 600 United Methodist leaders from across the US will gather in Kansas City to pray, discern and discuss the future of the United Methodist Church. Our hope is a diverse group of leaders who will help shape Methodism's future, and who will be a part of the organizing team in their annual conference, seeking to build support for the next United Methodism.  
 
The meeting will begin Monday afternoon, May 20 and conclude by lunch on Wednesday, May 22. It will be held at Church of the Resurrection. If we have more nominees than spots and you are not able to be a part of the team, know that you will be invited help organize events in your annual conference.
 
Note that nominations must be submitted by noon at Monday, April 22, 2019. You will be notified by April 26 if you are chosen as one of the ten from your annual conference. Participants must cover their own travel expenses, lodging, and food. A nominal registration fee is covering meals and snacks.
 
The convening team is hoping for a diverse gathering of lay and clergy (diverse in terms of age, ethnicity, and inclusive of LGBTQ persons) who were in support of the One Church or Simple Plans and who are people able to organize, influence and motivate those in their own annual conference.
