Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Form-to reinstate federal aid eligibility
The Financial Aid Office has placed you on financial aid suspension due to not meeting the satisfactory academic standards for two consecutive semesters. We strongly encourage you to submit an appeal. The appeal is a time for you to explain what happened and provide the opportunity to make changes in order to be more successful. (Here are some examples of situations that could impact a student from being successful academically: Were you impacted by COVID and by online classes? Did you have a family situation that impacted your ability to study outside of class?

The Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee will review the appeal. For students who successfully appeal, your federal aid will be reinstated for that upcoming semester. You will be notified via email.

EVERY student should appeal. If you have any questions, contact the Hastings College Financial Aid Office, hcfinaid@hastings.edu.
