2021 NAAAP100, Inspire, & Pride Awards, Presented by United Airlines - Nomination Form
Please use this form to nominate a deserving individual for one of the three awards described below.  Anyone from the public is invited to nominate.

The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) is the premier leadership organization for Asian professionals, with more than 30 chapters and thousands of members across North America. As a 501(c)(3) organization, NAAAP has inspired, developed, and connected leaders since 1982. NAAAP is committed to recognizing outstanding contributions to the U.S. and Canadian Asian communities.

In 2008, NAAAP established the NAAAP100 Awards to recognize exemplary leaders in the Asian community. The Awards, presented by United Airlines (www.naaap.org/programs/naaap100), are granted annually to influential leaders who have made significant contributions to their profession and the Asian community. Previous award winners include former Ambassador to China Gary Locke, former Canadian Senator Vivienne Poy, activist Dr. Grace Lee Boggs, Pritzker prize-winning architect I.M. Pei, and playwright David Henry Hwang.

In 2016, NAAAP established a parallel program to recognize promising up-and-coming leaders in the Asian community. Like NAAAP100 honorees, NAAAP Inspire honorees have created significant impact through their roles in business, government, or nonprofits.

In 2019, the first NAAAP Pride award to honor an influential leader in the Asian American LGBTQ+ community who has made significant contributions in advancing LGBTQ+ leadership, equality, and visibility was presented to singer, songwriter, actor and producer Telly Leung.

Nominations for all awards are due by Monday, May 31st, 2021. Anyone may submit a nomination, and self-nominations are permitted. If you submit using this form, you will receive a copy of your nomination at the email address you list below. You may also download a copy of the nomination form at www.naaap.org/programs/naaap100 and email the form to naaap100@naaap.org.

Nominations will be reviewed in June by the NAAAP100 committee and the NAAAP National Board. Decisions are based on the nominee’s career achievement and reputation, contribution to the Asian community, and alignment with NAAAP’s vision and mission. Individuals nominated for a NAAAP100 award are automatically also considered for a NAAAP Inspire award. Typically 2-3 nominees will be selected for NAAAP100 Award, 1 nominee will be selected for the NAAAP Inspire Award, and 1 nominee will be selected for the NAAAP Pride Award.
