2022 Speaker Proposal for SCCTM Annual Conference (November 17-18, 2022) in  Greenville, South Carolina
The SCCTM 2022 Annual Conference which will be held in Greenville on November 17th and 18th will focus on mathematical practices for healthy teaching of mathematics. In order to support the design of conference presentations, we have separated the NCTM Mathematical Practices into three healthy themes, or strands: Strength, Cardio and Flexibility. Each strand features 2 to 3 of the mathematical practices and are meant to be a guide.

Strength:
Construct viable arguments and critique the reason.
Model with mathematics.
Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.

Cardio:
Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
Attend to precision.

Flexibility:
Reason abstractly and quantitatively.
Use appropriate tools strategically.
Look for and make use of structure.

Upon proposal acceptance, speakers must register by October 1st for scheduling and planning purposes in order to be included in the program book. Speakers will be notified by September 15 about the status of their proposal acceptance.  Speakers may submit more than one proposal, but please only submit each proposal one time.

We thank you for your willingness to share your experiences and expertise!
