DESCRIPTION: I follow the “American Cursive ™ Handwriting” book and curriculum by Master Penman
Michael R. Sull. Students will learn from how to hold the pen / pencil to form the letters correctly, and be
able to write in cursive using the A.C.H. system
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Hong Nguyen has been using fountain pens and practicing handwriting since she was in Elementary school. She fell in love with the beautiful Spencerian Script and learned that American Cursive handwriting TM was the simplified form of Spencerian without any shading. Choosing to study and practice Spencerian under Master Penman Michael Sull, she has been recognized and certified as having attained the level of American Cursive Handwriting Master Penman by Master Penman Michael Sull, founder of American Cursive Handwriting. Hong has been teaching the American Cursive handwriting base of the "American Cursive handwriting TM" book and curriculum by Master Pen Man Michael Sull for four years and has been commissioned to do workshops in schools, museum, calligraphy guild, and pen shows around the country. Hong is experienced working with children and adults, and has learned that Cursive Handwriting - like music - brings tremendous benefits to children.
WHEN: Tuesdays from 3:15 until 4:15pm (Beginner) and 4:15-5:00 (Advanced) from February 28th through May 23rd
WHERE: Room 25
WHO: Students in grade 2nd - 8th (minimum class size of 4; maximum class size of 16)
COST: $138 per student for 12 weeks (includes materials and goodies). Returning students interested in an intermediate fountain pen should contact Hong. You will be billed through Honey Creek's PayPal account.
