The Urban Philanthropic Fund works to support small-scale and early-stage nonprofits that serve otherwise under-addressed needs in the New Haven community. We do so by providing grants drawn from the UP Fund’s investment portfolio returns, administrative support tailored to the needs and requests of our non-profit partners, and improved access to other larger avenues of fundraising.

This year, the UP Fund will be providing grants to local New Haven nonprofits up to the value of $1000 per organization, with $500 available towards smaller causes. In order to receive grant funding, organizations will be assessed on the criteria of need, project description, and organization capacity.
