Better together: support groups and contextualizing sexual violence, a conversation with the support group CARE.
Join us on this Sunday Discussion with our guests speakers.
Care was founded and developed by Anesteia Tsagkalidou, Angela Caceres, and Stichting Our Bodies Our Voice. In Care, we offer support groups for students and/or staff of universities who are survivors/victims of sexual violence. Our support groups are therapist-led and we aim to provide therapeutic benefits to its members through the establishment of a safe space, the constitution of trusting relationships among the members and the sharing of their concerns and experiences. In Care support groups, the members can go through the process of healing and navigating life with trauma, along with other survivors.

The Feminist Club Amsterdam aims to organize events that create a safe, harassment-free experience for everyone. To that end we expect everyone to abide by the rules set forth in this code of conduct.

1. Do not engage in racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, sexist, ageist, or otherwise exclusionary behaviour, including, but not limited to, any and all forms of shaming, erasure, and victim blaming. Do not make exclusionary jokes, not even ironically.

2. Communication within this space is considered private, and each participant is free to decide how much, or how little, they want to share.

3. We do not tolerate harmful opinions, and will not entertain anyone ‘debating’ their merits. This includes ‘reverse’ anything, whether it’s racism, sexism, or any other axis, as well as white supremacy, white feminism, exclusionary radical feminism of any kind, anti-semitism, any kind of apologism, and the use of ableist language.

4. The expression of justified anger will not to be policed within this space. There is no room for aggression, however; do not let your anger tempt you into violating the rules of this space.

5.  We do not condone threats, violence, hate speech, harassment, or any other actions that are deemed by moderators to have caused significant harm or distress to participants of this group. Such actions are ground for immediate removal
